The Bird Types
Every Flipside employee is a Bird.
These birds are based on the DISC methodology. It's been around for 90 years, and millions have taken the assessment and it has been found to have high predictive validity, which means it’s accurate.
The problem with DISC and any of the other behavioral style tests (like Myers-Briggs or the big five) it’s hard to remember what it all means and what the letters stand for.
Two teachers converted the letters to bird types since the bird types are sticky. Once you know them, it’s hard to forget them.
We each have a bird type.
There are no good or bad styles.
There is only bad self-awareness.
Your style predicts how you communicate and work with others.
Your style does not change over the course of your lifetime but can be understood and managed.
Your style can also be overused, which leads to unintended consequences.
