Salary
As we scale and evolve with our rapidly changing marketplace we strive to be transparent and consistent around our compensation philosophy. So here’s what we bring to the table…
We offer competitive compensation and a compelling career opportunity. Total compensation at Flipside is split in three major categories:
Base Salary: We offer a competitive base salary (immediate-term compensation). Salaries are targeted in the 50th percentile of the range. That means smack dab in the middle of what the rest of the world gets (all this data is benchmarked using 3rd party services). We want you to like your base salary - and love items 2 and 3 below (that's where the big value creation lies!).
Equity: All employees receive stock options and have the opportunity to become shareholders. Options are benchmarked using 3rd party services, and have a 1 year cliff and monthly vesting for 3 years after.
Tokens: Flipside helps summon DAOs. Many of these DAOs have tokens associated, and if distributed to Flipside, employees may have the opportunity to access these. In addition, we provide the Flipside Token Training (FTT) Fiesta, where every employee receives tokens 4x a year for training and education purposes.
Keep in mind…
Every employee participates in all three categories of compensation, Base + Equity and Tokens.
We understand that each person has their own level of risk tolerance and cash flow needs. Therefore we offer all new employees several choices between their mix of cash and equity.
We allocate additional stock options for existing employees to be distributed based upon excellent performance. These are discretionary and reserved for employees with the highest performance and impact.
